Enjoy radiant Teeth – Receive Teeth Whitening in Swadlincote, Derbyshire

Teeth whitening is a simple yet exceptional way to lighten the colour of your teeth. The cosmetic dentistry we provide within our clinic in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, is designed to enhance the appearance of your teeth without harming them.

Lighten up Your Teeth

  • Everyone is different. Just as our hair and skin is varied, so are our teeth. Some teeth have a yellow tinge, while others are beige in colour. Very few teeth are naturally white in colour. Teeth darken with age and become stained by the food and drink we eat. Tooth whitening solves that problem, especially combined with our smile makeover treatments.
  • Whitening trays are the most effective and affordable method of whitening teeth. You’ll have total control over the whiteness of your teeth. Because the whitening process is gradual, and you may forget what shade your teeth were when you first came to us, we’ll take photographs to show you the difference.
  • Though results vary depending on the original colour of your teeth, our patients are always delighted with the results. Occasionally, it takes longer than 2 weeks to see results. This could be due to the darkness of your teeth, or the result of taking tetracycline at an early age.
  • Effects last for around 12 months. Since teeth darken slightly over time, we recommend topping up your whiteness with trays and gel on a monthly basis. This will help you to maintain the shade of white you are looking for.
  • Only natural teeth may be whitened by this treatment. It will not work on fillings, crowns, veneers, or bridges. When dental apparatuses are stained, they may need to be replaced in order to preserve the effect of the whitening. Our dentists will advise you about this before treatment takes place.
  • Tooth sensitivity is an issue for some patients for a few days after their treatment. This sensitivity will wear off after a short time, and there are ways of reducing sensitivity during treatment when necessary.

Don’t Try This At Home

Over-the-counter home whitening kits are not recommended. These tend only to contain a small amount of hydrogen peroxide, nowhere near enough to make a significant difference to the colour of your teeth.

Certain products available online may contain mild acids or abrasives that actively damage the enamel of your teeth. Whitening is a complex procedure that should only be carried out by a dentist after a thorough dental examination and assessment.

It is critically important to follow all of the instructions given to you by your dentist. Make sure that you attend any recommended follow-up appointments.
